ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands on IT Manager to support the Head of IT and manage the relationship with our MSP.

The ideal candidate will be a personable, quick learner who is looking for a varied and interesting role. They will primarily be liaising with our MSP but also involved in a multitude of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage our MSP to ensure desktop, mobile, network and support resources across the business are fit for purpose and networks and infrastructure are maintained to support business needs.
• Manage resources that are not covered by our MSP from phishing tests to AV.
• Help with the technological infrastructure, including equipment, software, networks, systems.
• Deputise for the Head of IT.
• Help with misc IT projects from a till refresh to opening new sites.
• Ensure the operational reliability, stability, security and compliance of technology services and applications using industry standards and best practices.
• Document processes and procedures and help with training of end users.
• Keep abreast of current technology and suggest and implement improvements.
• Manage the recycling of old equipment and maintaining comms rooms to standard.
• Test and manage disaster recovery procedures.
  

SKILLS YOU WILL BRING

• Able to work independently and proactively. 
• Strong understanding of basic IT security, network and infrastructure. 
• Strong experience of Microsoft products.
• Positive “can-do” attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. 
• Experience in a retail and hospitality environment.
• Demonstrable knowledge of relevant current technology and emerging trends.
• Experience in macs as well as windows devices.
