Business Systems Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Business Systems Manager to manage and enhance our diverse range of systems.
Reporting to the Group Head of IT this is an exciting and varied role, where an immediate impact can be made with an exposure to a wide range of systems.
The ideal candidate will be a personable and intuitive Manager, capable of delving deep into the systems while also maintaining a broad perspective.
They should have proven experience in designing, configuring, and supporting business systems within a retail and/or hospitality environment. The role requires a combination of business acumen, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary contact for all systems within the Bamford Collection, excluding the retail ERP Streetwise.
- Co-ordinate with external vendors and our MSP to manage and resolve system issues.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and manage change requests.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Oracle Opera and Simphony, including EMC usage.
- Oversee integrations between systems, including the various payment merchants to ensure seamless transaction processes.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
- Manage system licenses and user access.
- Suggest and help implement improved reporting.
- Ensure the operational reliability, stability, security, and compliance of systems meets industry standards and best practices.
- Document processes and procedures and assist in training end users.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Ensure the integrity of data across all systems.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- Able to work independently and pro-actively.
- Strong understanding of basic IT security, network and infrastructure.
- Positive “can-do” attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a retail and hospitality environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant current technology and emerging trends.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Desired experience of Oracle Opera / Simphony, Givex, P3, Fourth, Res Diary, Zendesk, Sage, Mind Body.
