Assistant Supply Chain Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Supply Chain Manager to help us manage and optimise our demand planning processes, ensuring our customers enjoy an exceptional experience while we maintain the highest standards of operational efficiency and sustainability.

As the Assistant Supply Chain Manager, you will lead and manage a team of Demand Planners, ensuring that our product forecasts are accurate and our inventory levels are aligned with demand. You will work closely with various internal teams, including Buying, Suppliers, and other operational departments, to drive continuous improvement in forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain processes. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our warehouses are stocked efficiently while meeting customer demand, maximising sales, and minimising costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand Planning Management: Oversee and manage the demand planning function for the Bamford collection, including both category-level and SKU-level planning (approximately 2,500 products).

Team Leadership & Motivation: Lead and motivate your team of Demand Planners, fostering a culture of enthusiasm, collaboration, and accountability to achieve KPIs and team objectives.

Forecast Accuracy: Utilise all available data, systems, and intelligence to manage KPIs and ensure that forecast accuracy targets are met. Proactively address any discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement & Implementation: Identify and implement process improvements across the demand planning and supply chain functions. Communicate changes effectively to the team and ensure smooth adoption.

Root Cause Analysis: Conduct deep dives into key reports to identify root causes of any issues impacting the supply chain. Take proactive steps to resolve these issues and prevent recurrence.

Collaboration with Key Stakeholders: Build strong, collaborative relationships with the Buying team, suppliers, and other internal departments to ensure alignment on product availability, stock levels, and delivery schedules.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process change and communicate these ideas to improve forecasting, inventory management, and customer fulfilment.

Ad-Hoc Tasks: Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management, in line with business needs.

SKILLS YOU WILL BRING

Demand Forecasting & Supply Chain Expertise: Experience in demand forecasting, volume planning, and logistics management, ideally within a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.

Strong Analytical Skills: Proficient in using MS Excel for detailed analysis, with a proven ability to interpret numerical data and make data-driven decisions.

Leadership & Team Development: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team, while ensuring high performance and achieving key objectives.

Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to react quickly and effectively to emerging situations or challenges.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.

Organisation & Planning: Outstanding planning, organisational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Positive & Proactive Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude and a proactive approach to team collaboration and problem resolution.
