ABOUT THE ROLE
As our organisation continues to grow and evolve, we are looking for a dedicated E-Learning & Training Specialist to join our People Team based in the Cotswolds. In this exciting new role supporting all three businesses; Bamford, Daylesford Organic and Daylesford Stays you will play a key role in creating a structured and engaging learning experience for our people.
You’ll take the lead in transforming blended learning content, ensuring all regulatory and mandatory training is effectively delivered and tracked, essential upskilling, ensuring compliance, and driving overall performance across our teams.
You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and be used to building strong relationships across the business.
This role is full time, 40 hours, 5 days in the office, based in Kingham, Oxfordshire.
Salary £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To identify and assess the training needs of the company by working closely with the people partners and managers.
- To develop and implement learning & development initiatives to develop professional, technical and managerial skills.
- To design e-learning courses, workshops and other training to support the company learning & development strategy.
- To manage the Company LMS platform ensuring it is engaging to drive continuous learning and growth.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and recommend & implement improvements and initiatives.
- To produce monthly reports on usage and compliance of e-learning data on the LMS platform & work with managers to support learning growth for all departments.
- Build effective working relationships with MAPAL, our LMS platform supplier ensuring value for money & continuous improvement of the LMS functionality.
- Build effective working relationships with other training providers and keep abreast of changes in e-learning and training methods.
- Manage and maintain training materials and resources cost effectively.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including people partners, managers, subject matter experts & external vendors to design, develop & deliver high-impact learning solutions.
- Conduct follow up analysis of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
- Keep up to date with developments in learning & development by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- 4-5 years’ experience in a Training Specialist role in a hospitality business
- Strong knowledge of learning principles & instructional design methods
- Strong experience of Learning Management Systems (LMS) & other learning technologies (e.g. eLearning authoring tools, virtual classroom software).
- Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements & compliance standards related to mandatory training (DE&I training, sexual harassment, food safety)
- Effective listening & coaching skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and at different levels of the company.
- Resilient and ability to work at pace to achieve results
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite & E-Learning authouring tools
- Excellent knowledge of LMS functionality
- Written and oral fluency in English
- Technical knowledge of training design in the hospitality industry
- Excellent training skills
