ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an engaged and enthusiastic Marketing Executive to join our dynamic marketing team at Daylesford Stays.
You will play a key role in driving brand awareness, customer engagement and increase occupancy and revenue across all marketing channels. You will have the opportunity to work with a passionate team, promoting a collection of award-winning pubs and cottages.
This is a fast-paced role where no two days will be the same. The role offers tangible opportunities to contribute to the growth and success of our brand whilst gaining invaluable marketing experience across multiple brands and disciplines.
The role will report into the Senior Marketing Manager who also works across Daylesford Stays.
Based at our Daylesford office in the Cotswolds, this role is full time, 40 hours per week, salary up to £30,000 per annum.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Digital marketing: managing content across the Daylesford Stays websites, ensuring menus, imagery, event listings and trading activities are always up to date.
- Strategy execution: collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager to support the execution of the brand strategies across various channels, including digital, social media, email and PR
- Marketing calendar: working cross-functionally with teams across the business to maintain the marketing calendar, ensuring accuracy of launch dates and communicating updates to all relevant teams in a timely manner.
- Copywriting: proven experience producing engaging, high-quality content to support marketing channels from event copy, email content, journal articles, printed collateral and more. Passionate about the subject matter, showing initiative to find new angles. Ensuring a consistent tone of voice is maintained for each brand.
- Budget support: monitoring and tracking marketing spend against team budgets and supporting the ongoing admin of budgets.
- SEO awareness: working with the paid media team to support SEO efforts in copy, tailoring content where appropriate.
- Analysis: reporting across marketing activity on a weekly and monthly basis with clear ‘wrap-reports’ for activations. Communicating successes and learnings with relevant teams, ensuring KPIs are monitored and tracked against the marketing calendar.
- Market research & trends: Keep a finger on the pulse across marketing trends, conducting competitor analysis where relevant to identify trends, opportunities and potential threats. Use these insights to help inform the marketing strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
- Creative ideation: Bring a creative and innovative approach to marketing initiatives and brand events, consistently feeding in ideas to engage and captivate target audiences.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other departments within the Daylesford Stays collection, including revenue manager, reception and operations teams, to coordinate marketing efforts and ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Bring our purpose to life by driving meaningful social and environmental improvements, contributing to our journey as a B Corp, and aligning with our sustainability vision.
- Inspire and empower our customers, suppliers, and partners to live and work more consciously, creating a lasting positive impact on the world.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- 3 years of relevant marketing experience, ideally in the hospitality industry
- Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage a range of fast-moving initiatives at once, keeping your manager and key stakeholders informed on project statuses.
- Strong stakeholder management, able to take information and present this in clear formats for relevant team member across various teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with incredible attention to detail
- Proven copywriting ability, with a clear understanding of the Daylesford Stays tone of voice.
- Creative thinking and ability to develop innovative marketing strategies.
- Confident self-starter, with plenty of initiative and ambition.
- Proficient in WordPress, Google Analytics, Microsoft suite
