ABOUT THE ROLE
The Bamford Collection is looking for an experienced and passionate Product Lead to join our dynamic, cross-functional team and take ownership of the Home Fragrance
category for Bamford & Daylesford. You will lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, shaping an exciting and fast-growing collection that reflects the craftsmanship, sustainability, and quality at the heart of our brands.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a high-growth category within a forward-thinking, purpose-driven business, working alongside a talented team to deliver products that delight our customers and reflect the ethos of the Bamford Collection.
This role is full time, 40 hours a week and 5 days in the office based at the Daylesford Farm, Gloucestershire.
Salary £35,000 - £45,000 per annum dependant on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the NPD pipeline for Home Fragrance -Support the end-to-end new product development process, ensuring launches are delivered on time and aligned with brand vision.
- Manage CPAs - Keep all product timelines and project-critical paths up to date, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed of progress.
- Maintain the product tracker - Accurately record and update product information, keeping data organised and accessible for the wider team.
- Artwork coordination - Liaise with design and suppliers to manage artwork briefs, approvals, and amendments, ensuring packaging and materials are consistent with brand standards.
- Creative timelines - Support the planning and delivery of creative assets, working closely with design and marketing teams to align content with product launches.
- Cost creation and management - Prepare and update cost sheets, working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure products are delivered within budget.
- Internal and external training - Assist in developing and delivering training materials so teams and retail partners are fully equipped with product knowledge.
- Industry knowledge - Keep up to date with market trends, customer insights, and innovations to help inform product decisions and keep our ranges competitive.
- Supplier management and compliance - Work closely with suppliers to maintain strong relationships, ensuring compliance with quality, ethical, and sustainability standards.
- Sales review & reporting - Analyse sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve future ranges.
- Market and competitor research - Regularly review competitor activity and emerging technologies, sharing findings to support innovation and maintain our competitive edge.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- 3 years plus experience in product development/buying, ideally in home fragrance or bath & body, interiors or lifestyle could be beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Adobe Creative Suite would be an advantage.
- Confident presentation skills.
- The ability to clearly communicate ideas, updates, and insights to both internal teams and external partners, tailoring your style to different audiences.
- Strong business acumen & awareness of industry trends.
- An understanding of how commercial decisions impact product performance, with a keen eye on market developments, customer behaviours, and emerging opportunities in the homeware and fragrance sectors.
- Experience managing multiple projects at once, balancing deadlines and priorities while maintaining high standards of delivery.
- Analytical and reporting skills. Confidence in reviewing sales data, producing reports, and drawing actionable insights to inform future decisions.
- The ability to support both internal teams and external partners with product training, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to represent the brand.
- Understanding of product lifecycle management, from concept through to launch.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers, designers, and internal teams.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in home fragrance, interiors, and design trends.
