ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Facilities Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our diverse sites and properties. This is a dynamic and varied position that supports all areas of the business, from retail environments and hospitality venues to warehousing and logistics.
As a Facilities and Logistics Operative, you will collaborate closely with the Visual Merchandising (VM), Interiors, and Projects teams to deliver beautifully presented retail spaces and well-maintained facilities. This includes supporting the installation of seasonal themes across our Bamford and Daylesford Organic stores in Kingham and London, assisting with the organisation and upkeep of our prop storage facilities, and facilitating logistical operations for our pubs, cottages, and guest accommodation.
You will also be responsible for supporting the upkeep and compliance of critical infrastructure at our farm site, as well as managing aspects of our company vehicle fleet to ensure it remains roadworthy, safe, and well-maintained.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering high standards across a wide range of operational areas.
Salary: £29,000 Per An
Hours: 40 Hours full time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond promptly and efficiently to ad hoc operational requests from all departments.
- Assist with the organisation and management of props, ensuring that storage areas are well-maintained, clearly labelled, and easily accessible.
- Support the installation of visual merchandising displays across our retail sites in Kingham and London, in collaboration with the VM team.
- Provide logistical support to the Interiors and Projects teams, ensuring timely delivery and collection of materials for our pubs, cottages, and guest-facing spaces.
- Oversee routine servicing, cleaning, and maintenance of the company vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Carry out general facilities maintenance duties across the estate, including basic repairs, checks, and support for critical systems.
- Handle deliveries and collections between our London and Kingham sites using a 3.5-tonne vehicle.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed when working at height or using ladders.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, with proven confidence and experience driving a 3.5-tonne lorry.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and adapt to changing demands.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and a flexible “can-do” attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues across multiple departments.
- Comfortable working at height and using ladders safely in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks such as lifting, loading, and setting up props or equipment.
- Previous experience in a facilities, logistics, or general maintenance role is desirable but not essential.
