ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a friendly, proactive, and highly motivated F&B Supervisor & Host to join our vibrant team at The Club by Bamford, an exclusive private members’ wellness club nestled in the stunning Daylesford Farm, Gloucestershire.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our food and beverage operation, leading by example, supporting your team, and ensuring every member enjoys a seamless and memorable experience. You’ll combine warm, attentive service with operational expertise, supervising daily service, assisting with events, and maintaining the highest standards in line with Bamford’s values of wellness, sustainability, and luxury.
You’ll be an ambassador for the Club, welcoming members and guests, managing bookings, and creating an inviting and relaxed atmosphere where exceptional service is second nature. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hospitality experience, leadership skills, and a genuine passion for wellbeing to grow their career in a unique and inspiring environment.
40 hours per week including weekends.
SALARY £28,000 per annum plus tronc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide every member and guest with a warm, attentive, and personalised experience, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality are consistently maintained, leaving a lasting positive impression.
- Address minor problems promptly and professionally, escalating complex concerns to the F&B Manager when necessary.
- Assist with opening, closing, and shift handovers, taking on Duty Manager responsibilities in the absence of the Manager.
- Provide support to the F&B Manager with any additional tasks or projects as required.
- Monitor and adjust team priorities in response to changing demand and guest flow, ensuring smooth service at all times.
- Problem-solving: Handle any operational or service-related issues efficiently and professionally.
- Team motivation: Inspire and mentor the F&B team to deliver their best, maintaining morale and addressing concerns promptly.
- Communication: Relay key updates, feedback, and any issues to the F&B Manager to ensure alignment across the team.
- Operational excellence: Ensure all opening and closing documentation, checklists, and procedures are completed accurately.
- Event hosting: Oversee all events and workshops, ensuring there is a visible host presence, serving as a point of contact for members, and that all operational points are checked and executed to the highest standard.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- Customer service expertise. Proven experience in delivering professional, exceptional customer service and the ability to coach and inspire others to do the same.
- Commitment to excellence: Demonstrates high standards and a genuine passion for exceeding customer expectations.
- Exceptional communication: Confident in engaging with members and staff, and able to address issues effectively, escalating to the relevant manager when required.
- Attention to detail: Strong eye for detail, ensuring all aspects of service and operations are delivered to the highest standard.
- Proactive and organised: Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and approaches tasks with energy and efficiency.
- Composure under pressure: Able to perform consistently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of written and spoken English, ensuring clear and professional communication at all times.
- Maintains a polished and appropriate personal presentation at all times.
