The Wild Rabbit in Kingham is a fine dining restaurant and boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. Recognised in the Top 50 Gastropubs, the Top 50 Boutique Hotels, and awarded 3 AA Rosettes, we combine culinary excellence with warm, authentic hospitality.
Our menus, created in close partnership with Daylesford Farm, are rooted in seasonality, organic provenance, and sustainability. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Callum Graham, our kitchen is entering an exciting new chapter. Callum began his career in prestigious kitchens across London, Paris, and Geneva, before joining Bohemia in Jersey. There, he was part of the team that retained the Michelin star as Sous Chef, and later, as Head Chef, he successfully upheld Bohemia’s Michelin star for five consecutive years — a testament to his skill, vision, and consistency at the highest level of dining.
The on target earning potential for this role is £37,500 per annum based on a 48-hour contract - comprising a base salary of £33,500, plus a qualified estimate of £4,000 in gratuities and service charge*. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a passionate and creative Pastry Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at The Wild Rabbit. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment and is eager to contribute to an ever-evolving menu inspired by the seasons and our local produce.
You’ll have previous experience working on a pastry section in a quality restaurant, with a strong foundation in classical techniques and a flair for innovation. You’ll be involved in menu development, bringing fresh ideas that reflect current trends while staying true to our commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep your section prepped and pristine with fresh mise en place daily.
- Deliver dishes with precision, consistency, and flair.
- Lead your section with efficiency, maintaining high standards throughout service.
- Uphold kitchen and audit standards with pride.
- Support and collaborate with your team, sharing your passion and expertise.
- Mentor junior chefs, guiding them with constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Stay curious—learn about our ingredients, processes, and sustainability journey.
- Maintain portion control and record new recipes accurately.
- Help define dish presentation and support cost testing.
- Champion health & safety and flag concerns proactively.
- Bring our purpose to life—drive positive change through conscious cooking and sustainable practices.
- Inspire those around you—customers, colleagues, and suppliers—to live and work more mindfully.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- Proven experience in a multi-rosette or Michelin-starred kitchen.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on skill in pastry, with a love for the craft.
