ABOUT THE ROLE
The Bamford Collection encompassing Daylesford Organic, Bamford, and Daylesford Stays is seeking a skilled and detail-driven Finance Operations Manager to join our team on a 9-12-month fixed term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Business Central ERP transformation, leading the end-to-end optimisation of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash-to-sales reconciliation processes.
You’ll take ownership of ensuring data integrity, designing efficient workflows, and embedding financial controls that strengthen our foundation for growth. From driving data cleansing and system migration to streamlining operations and promoting best practice, you’ll be at the heart of our journey to build a smarter, more connected finance function.
HOURS 40 hours a week, 5 days in the office based in Kingham, Oxfordshire.
SALARY £80,000 per annum dependant on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Cleansing & Migration
- Oversee the cleansing of vendor and customer master data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Validate and reconcile legacy data prior to migration into Business Central.
- Develop and implement data quality standards and governance frameworks.
Process Improvement
- Analyse current AP and AR processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Design and implement optimised workflows aligned with Business Central capabilities. Review and improve sales to cash reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
- Introduce automation opportunities to reduce manual intervention and errors.
ERP Implementation Support
- Collaborate with the ERP project team to ensure AP and AR requirements are fully captured.
- Test and validate AP and AR functionalities during system configuration and UAT phases.
- Provide training and guidance to finance teams on new processes and system usage.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Sales, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior stakeholders.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure AP and AR processes adhere to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Implement audit-ready documentation and reporting standards.
SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Proven experience in AP and AR process transformation within ERP implementations (preferably Business Central or similar).
- Strong understanding of data management principles and data cleansing techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and best practices.
- Ability to analyse complex processes and deliver practical, scalable solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable.
