ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Assistant Restaurant Manager to join us on a three month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious team committed to redefining fine dining hospitality in the Cotswolds. Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you will help lead our front of house operation, supporting a talented Chef de Rang team while delivering exceptional service across every lunch and dinner service. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Restaurant Manager in leading the daily operation of our restaurant and private dining spaces.
Inspire, coach and develop the front of house team, ensuring every service reflects the standards of The Wild Rabbit.
Lead service with confidence, maintaining exceptional pace, precision and attention to detail.
Conduct daily briefings and work closely with the kitchen to ensure seamless communication throughout service.
Build strong relationships with guests, creating memorable dining experiences through warm and intuitive hospitality.
Manage guest feedback and resolve challenges with professionalism and care.
Support reservations and floor planning, ensuring efficient service flow and maximising guest satisfaction.
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and operational excellence are maintained at all times.
Lead by example, creating a positive, collaborative culture within the restaurant.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Supervisor or similar leadership role within fine dining or luxury hospitality.
Proven ability to lead and motivate high performing teams.
Excellent knowledge of food, wine and fine dining service.
Calm, organised and decisive under pressure.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Genuine passion for hospitality and developing others.
Flexibility to commit to a three month fixed term contract.

*The on target earning potential for this role is £43,500 per annum based on a 48-hour contract - comprising a base salary of £35,500, plus a qualified estimate of £8,000 in gratuities and service charge.
About gratuities and service charge:
Gratuities are paid on a pro rata basis. It is estimated that in 2026 full-time employees can expect to receive in the region of £8,000 in addition to their annual salary. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.
