Daylesford Organic Farm, Kingham
FARM
We farm over 3,400 acres of land at our Cotswold estate and our animals are reared in a certified organic environment, roaming freely to graze pasture. The market garden makes up 30 acres and is at the heart of the farm, governing much of what else we do. It drives the menus in the cafes and is integral to the work we do to demonstrate why we believe eating seasonally is so important.
FARMSHOP, HOME AND GARDEN
With the fields stretching out behind it, you can’t get much closer to source than Daylesford's farmshop, which is stocked with fruit and vegetables harvested from our market garden, pasture-raised meat, our artisan bread and cheeses, soups, ready meals and lots more. Next door is our home and garden space, which offers everything from handmade tableware, home fragrance, linens and cooking equipment to seeds and plants, garden furniture and tools.
CAFES
There are a range of dining and drinking options at the farm site, ranging from light plates and pizzas at The Old Spot, to a menu of seasonal dishes and daily specials at The Trough. The Legbar is a bright, airy space with an outdoor courtyard, open throughout the day serving coffee, cocktails and small sharing plates.
COOKERY SCHOOL
Our team of passionate cookery tutors offers a range of courses for complete beginners, as well as confident cooks. Students can learn new skills, master different culinary styles or simply improve their confidence in the kitchen, as well as forage the produce for their class from our market garden.
WINE STALL
A dedicated part of the farmshop, home to a collection of wines chosen by Daylesford’s team of specialists. They are on hand to offer expert advice as you browse. We take care to choose winemakers who focus on sustainable viticulture, organic and biodynamic processes wherever possible
PRODUCTION UNITS
Our produce travels less than 100m to our kitchens and farmshop. Just a few steps from the milking parlour is the farm’s creamery where we make our own cheeses, yoghurts and other dairy products using traditional artisanal methods. Bread, cakes and pastries are made by hand each day by the farm’s bakery and patisserie teams, and a range of soups, stews and sauces are freshly prepared by a dedicated team of chefs.
HERITAGE HOUSE
Heritage House is an events venue set within our market garden. With three versatile, dynamic spaces and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, Heritage House is suitable for discreet, intimate occasions and grand celebrations.
