ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Kitchen Porter at Daylesford Organic, Pimlico, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment across all kitchen and back-of-house areas.

Working in a fast-paced and dynamic setting, you will ensure that all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are kept to the highest standards, enabling the chefs to deliver exceptional food and service. This role requires a proactive and reliable individual with strong stamina, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

An interest in food, along with a good understanding of Daylesford Organic’s products and values, will be key to success in this role.

SALARY: £12.33 per hour + TRONC

HOURS: Full time 40 hours 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and back-of-house areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

• Wash and store kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and glassware efficiently and to a high standard.

• Support chefs and the wider kitchen team by ensuring workstations are clean, organised, and well stocked.

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required.

• Ensure waste is managed and disposed of correctly in line with company procedures.

• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues.

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and company policies at all times.

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support a smooth and efficient service.

• Maintain a high level of organisation and efficiency during busy service periods.

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
