ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Plant Team Member to join the Daylesford Garden Team. Based in our garden retail section, you’ll provide friendly customer service, offer basic plant advice, and help with day-to-day tasks like watering, re-potting, and maintaining our vibrant displays. If you love working with plants and people, this is the perfect role for you

SALARY: £12.38 per hour + tronc

HOURS: 40 hours per week

SHIFTS: Weekdays and Weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plants Maintenance (Weeding, watering, pruning).
• Physical movement of stock up to 25KG 
• Garden space Maintenance (cleaning, facing, moving items, creating exciting plants displays).
• Helping customers regarding any request, questions, advices.
  
• Doing Planting and creation for Daylesford Stays Gardens.
• Helping Plants deliveries.
• Stock labelling.
• Helping the plant manager to make the Garden space running and tidy.

SKILLS YOU WILL BRING

• Plant & Gardening Knowledge: A solid understanding of plants, seasonal care routines, soil types, pests, and garden maintenance techniques. The ability to offer advice to customers, recommend suitable products, and identify plant health issues is essential.
• Teamwork: Strong collaborative skills and a willingness to work closely with colleagues in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Must be supportive, adaptable, and proactive in helping the team meet daily goals and maintain high service standards.
• Full, Clean Driving Licence: A valid and clean driving licence is required for transporting goods, making deliveries, or supporting off-site work. This ensures flexibility in duties and may involve driving company vehicles as needed.
• Experience Working in a Garden Centre (Preferred): Previous experience in a retail garden centre setting is advantageous, especially familiarity with stock handling, customer service, merchandising, and seasonal product knowledge.
